Wellness Retreats · Europe
A structured retreat for women navigating life's most demanding transitions — guided by two practitioners who have devoted their lives to the mind and the body.
Most wellness experiences treat the mind and the body as separate problems. Vera Vita was built on a different conviction: lasting transformation requires both, in the same space, at the same time.
Our retreats are not escapes. They are structured, intentional experiences designed by two women who have spent decades in their respective fields — and who understand that what lives in the body cannot be resolved in the mind alone.
Maria and Nadia are not wellness influencers. They are women who have spent their careers in genuine service to other women — in clinical rooms, in movement studios, in the space where real change takes root.
I had been holding something for three years — a version of my divorce that I kept explaining to everyone around me. On day two, Maria asked me one question and the story I had been protecting fell apart completely. I cried for two hours. And then, for the first time in three years, I felt genuinely calm. Nadia's morning sessions made that possible — my body had to soften before my mind could follow.
I've done therapy for years. This was different. The combination of Nadia's morning sessions and Maria's afternoon groups meant there was no armour left by the time the real conversations started. Extraordinary.
The logistics being handled completely changed everything. I didn't have to think. I just had to arrive. What I carry home is Maria and Nadia.
Applications for our inaugural Sifnos retreat are open. Spaces are limited to twelve women. The work is real. So is the beauty.
Maria and Nadia are not wellness influencers. They are clinically grounded, deeply experienced practitioners who have spent their careers in service to other women.
Maria grew up in Spain and has spent her entire professional life asking one question: why do women — even the strong, capable, accomplished ones — so often feel fundamentally alone in their pain?
With her own private practice in Madrid and collaborative work with some of the city's most respected psychology centres, Maria has spent decades sitting with women through the moments that define a life: depression that no one sees, the quiet collapse of a marriage, the identity loss of menopause, the grief of low self-esteem, and the complexity of couples who have forgotten how to reach each other.
Her approach is grounded in cyclical psychology — a framework that understands women's emotional and psychological experience as inherently rhythmic, context-dependent, and biological as well as psychological. It is not a trend. It is a lifetime of observation turned into method.
"I am not here to fix anyone. I am here to create enough safety that a woman can finally look honestly at what she has been carrying — and decide what she actually wants to do with it. The answers are always already there. My work is simply to help them become visible."
In the retreat setting, Maria leads group psychological workshops, facilitated reflection sessions, and is available for private one-on-one consultations depending on tier. Her sessions are warm but precise — she does not let comfort become avoidance.
Nadia has always believed that the body remembers what the mind tries to forget. Based in Greece and working across Europe, she has spent decades helping women reconnect with their physical selves — not through punishment or performance, but through genuine care and attentive listening.
As a health and wellness coach specialising in meditation, therapeutic movement, and natural restoration techniques, Nadia brings a philosophy that is rare in its simplicity: the body, when listened to, knows exactly what it needs. Her clients are not instructed to perform wellness — they are guided into it.
Her background draws from multiple disciplines: meditative practices, therapeutic stretching and somatic movement, breathwork traditions, and natural health approaches built over years of hands-on client work. She does not follow trends. She follows results.
"Most women arrive carrying years of tension they have never consciously addressed. The first thing I do is help them notice it. Not fix it. Not force it out. Simply notice. From there, the body does most of the work itself. My role is to make that safe."
In the retreat, Nadia leads morning movement and meditation sessions, breathwork workshops, and somatic integration exercises designed to work in rhythm with Maria's psychological sessions. The body opens first — creating space for the mind to follow.
Our locations are not backdrops. The light, the sea, the pace of Mediterranean life — these are active parts of the experience.
Every tier includes full participation in all group sessions with Maria and Nadia. What differs is how you travel, where you sleep, and your access to private time with our guides.
All prices are per person. Group bookings of 3+ welcome — enquire directly.
Each day is designed to build on the last. What begins as opening becomes deepening. What deepens becomes integration. You leave with something you can actually carry forward.
You are collected, settled, and welcomed. The first evening is unhurried — a shared dinner, gentle introductions, and an opening circle. There is nothing to perform and nothing to produce. This evening exists simply to let you arrive.
Nadia leads the morning — gentle movement and breathwork designed to awaken the body and begin dissolving the armour most of us carry without knowing it. Maria takes the afternoon into the emotional landscape, opening the first honest conversations about why each woman is here.
The most intensive and most transformative day. Mind and body sessions alternate in deliberate rhythm, guided by Maria and Nadia working in concert. Your body has been opened enough that what Maria asks of your mind becomes possible. This is where the real work happens.
The final morning is devoted not to more input, but to consolidation. How do you carry what you have found back into a life that hasn't changed yet — but that you now see differently? Maria and Nadia close together, and each woman leaves with a practical, personal forward plan.
Nadia's sessions always precede Maria's. Somatic work relaxes the defensive structures that prevent genuine psychological engagement. By the time Maria begins, the body has already created the conditions for honesty.
A maximum of twelve women. Not as a marketing differentiator — as a therapeutic requirement. Real trust does not form in large groups. The work requires a circle small enough that every voice is known.
Most retreats end when you leave. Vera Vita is designed to begin equipping you on day one for what happens after day four. The toolkit, follow-up sessions, and forward plan are core to the programme.
